Job Summary:

The Sous Chef is responsible for assisting the Head Chef with daily responsibilitie. The Sous Chef is primarily responsible for staff performance including the daily supervision and retention of culinary staff.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Maintain effective and efficient dining services, maintains positive resident relations, develops and maintains positive relations with staff members in all departments.
• Ensure products and staff services are consistent with regulatory standards as well as quality and excellence standards. 
• Directly supervises the delivery of food products and effective staff service to residents.
• Ensure food is received, stored, prepared, held and served in compliance with dining services procedures and state and federal guidelines.

Related Experience:

• Minimum 5 years' cooking experience required. Previous Health Care Food Service experience preferred

Education or Degree Requirement:

• Minimum Associate's level in Culinary or Hotel/Restaurant Management or 5 years of food service experience and 3 years supervisory experience.

Licenses, Certifications, Registrations:

• ServSafe Certification
