The Renovations Tech II is responsible for the overall renovation of residential apartments, cottages, and public areas through responsive, accurate and efficient repairs and installation of new construction materials.  Performs tasks that require the application of advanced maintenance and repair techniques and proper and efficient use of materials, tools and equipment.

The Renovations Tech II would:

• Performs renovations in residential apartments and public areas including correcting electrical malfunctions, repairing and replacing plumbing fixtures, pipes and fittings, repairing and replacing light bulbs and fixtures, repairing doors and locks, etc.
• Plans and performs routine and emergency repairs in residential apartments and public areas including electrical, plumbing, pipes and fittings, carpentry, and repair of doors and locks, etc.
• Perform installation of cabinetry, doors, trim, floors, windows, and residential appliances.
• Oversee and perform all apartment upgrades as requested from the Facilities Director in conjunction with the Marketing Department.
• Performs all drywall installations and finishing of the surfaces.
• Performs painting of project areas and other areas as directed.
• Completes all projects and work orders in a timely manner while providing detailed information of project progress and work order completion.
• Perform other duties as required.

Related Experience:

• Minimum of three years of maintenance experience in a residential apartment complex, commercial building construction or maintenance.
• Must possess a working knowledge of residential building maintenance to include, but not limited to, plumbing,painting,  electrical, HVAC, flooring and appliances. 

Education or Degree Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; training in facility maintenance work including mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC

Licenses, Certifications Registrations:

• Valid Driver’s License. Universal HVAC desirable.
